GLOBAL MERCADO DEL TURISMO is a travel and tourism agency governed by Colombian legislation. It respects, promotes, and supports social, cultural, and environmental development, seeking the economic well-being of the community with which it interacts. The agency is committed to maximizing positive impacts and minimizing any negative impacts that may arise from tourism activities. Additionally, it supports the fight against the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESCNNA) in compliance with Law 679 of 2001 and Law 1336 of 2009.

 

 

LEGISLATION

GLOBAL TOURISM MARKET with RNT 9281 from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, takes full responsibility for the products and quality of services described in its programs, in accordance with Law 300 of 1996, Decree 1075/97, and the Responsibility Clause of Decree 2438/2010. Rates are subject to change, availability, and validity without prior notice. Restrictions and conditions apply for each published rate according to its validity. The agency is committed to compliance with Law 679 of 2001 and Law 1336 of 2009 on the prevention of prostitution, pornography, sex tourism, and other forms of sexual abuse of children and adolescents (CSEC).

In addition, the agency adheres to Law 17 of 1981, which approves the "Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora"; Law 1333 of 2009, which establishes the environmental sanctioning process and grants authority in environmental matters to impose and enforce preventive and punitive measures to protect the environment, natural resources, or human health; and Law 63 of 1986 and Law 1185 of 2008 to prevent the trafficking of cultural property. The agency also complies with Resolution 2804 of 2014 on tourism sustainability, Law 697 of 2001 on the rational use of energy, Resolution 493 of 2010 on the efficient use and conservation of drinking water, Law 1672 of 2013 on the comprehensive management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), and Law 1259 of 2008 on solid waste management.
